The Blinding: Twisted Vista [Raid]

  • Zone in is located at X Y Z in The Blinding
  • If this is your first time in the zone, and you have completed the BoL Signature Timeline you will want to navigate to X Y Z and pick up Ley of the Land.

Rockhopper Pouncer

  • Named roams around X Y Z

Normal Mode

Every 15%, the mob will emote that it is (exact text of looking) and a short while later will emote (exact text of drop) and drop a crosshair on the ground around the largest concentration of players. Everyone should move at least 20m away from this ground marker. This repeats throughout the fight.

Starting at 85% and every X% afterward, the named will yellow text "Rockhopper Pouncer looks among your party for the largest grouping of targets to pounce on...". A short while later will red/orange text "Rockhopper Pouncer has found a grouping of players and prepares to pounce!" and a crosshair will appear on the ground around the largest concentration of players. Everyone should move at least 20m away from this ground marker.

The named has an ae/frontal? called POWERful Sneeze which does minor damage, but has a knock-up effect which can mess with positioning.

The general strat is to have Tank - Mob - Raid, burn until a crosshair is dropped, then have the entire raid move back 20 meters, with the tank running past/through the raid, when the mob completes it's pounce and comes back to the raid, reposition and continue to burn.

Challenge Mode

The challenge mode version of the fight is very similar, with a few additions.

The first major change is that the mob now has a VERY powerful frontal attack. So the positioning should be modified so that only tanks are ever in the mobs face.

The second being that every (time?) seconds, the named will drop an egg on the ground. When this happens, you have 30? seconds before it hatches to left click the egg, and move it onto one of the braziers around the area the named roams in. At 50% health, a second egg, on a separate timer will begin spawning. Assuming your raid is properly geared, it shouldn't be a big issue to heal through and burn down the adds as they come, but for lower dps/survivability raids, dropping the eggs into fire is the best option.

Thirdly, the named now pounces twice per cycle. It uses the same emotes as noted above, however the second jump comes immediately following the first. So instead of a single move, two will be required. I'd recommend the same strategy as EM, only delaying for the second crosshair to drop. So at the end of a joust phase, you are back where you started.

Praetorian K'Tikrn

  • Named is located at X Y Z

Normal Mode

Throughout the fight, the named will orange/red text "Praetorian K'Tikrn gets sick and unwittingly unleashes a nasty pustule at his feet that seems to wiggle and grow, it would be wise to not disturb this pustule..." At this point everyone will need to joust a fair bit out, as a green orb will spawn, and start growing. If you are inside the growing circle (bad things happen). 50-60 meters is a safe jousting distance, shortly after an emote, the first growing pustule despawns and the second one starts growing.

General strat would be to have 3 predetermined spots, and just cycle through them in a circle.

Challenge Mode

This fight is very similar to the normal mode encounter, with the big difference being that one of the names AEs has a fear mechanic attached. Meaning characters will likely be feared into the pustules, resulting in spreading badness that usually means a wipe, or at least a few deaths. The solution to this is to have everyone in the raid toss on a Fear Immunity Rune avoiding the issue entirely.

Thought Horror Overfiend

  • Named is located at X Y Z

Normal Mode

This named can't be kept in the same place throughout the fight. If it is allowed to stand still, it will start doing MUCH more damage with it's AE (name?) Luckily, throughout the fight, the named will announce/emote "Joust shit blah blah" - When this happens, the tank just needs to run the mob a little ways away, and you can continue burning.

Challenge Mode

This is essentially the same fight, except that the AE debuff it casts takes MANY more cures to actually remove.

Shik'Nar Imperiatrix

  • Named is located at X Y Z

Normal Mode

This is a very simple fight mechanically, but is also the first roadblock for a raid that is still gearing up.

At 90% the Imperiatrix emotes (exact text) and from that point forward you have 9(?) minutes to burn the named down to at least 10%, at which point it stops that countdown. Throughout the fight, multiple adds will spawn, All except for "a Shik'Nar Hero" and "a Shik'Nar Champion" can be ignored. Burn both of those asap, as they cast an AE Detarget, meaning you are losing burn time on the named.

Challenge Mode

Essentially the same fight, but higher DPS requirements. Additionally the mob does emote about noticing the tank, but I haven't seen anything happen from it.
